NYPD At Large
The New York City Police Department has built a great reputation as "the best
police department in the nation and in the world". But with the world class caliber of
New York City, technically even late mobster John Gotti obtained a good many
followers who still indirectly celebrate the Mafia and all things illegal about it.
However, we, as reasonably smart human beings, should understand that much of
the "glory" and "honor" encircling the NYPD is mostly hoopla. It is this institution the
one which hides its officers behind a cloak of immunity by allowing them to "explain"
shootings (should we say killings of innocent blacks and Latinos?) 48 hours after
they have done them. A regular person would be incarcerated immediately after
killing anybody, yet Mr. Police Officer John Doe , from Westchester County white
male Irish-Italian (More than 75% NYPD is white in a city mostly composed of
Hispanics and blacks), will be gracefully allowed to go home and consult with a
Union paid attorney and create a "credible" alibi to justify the shooting. This police
officer, like many dozens of incompetent NYPD shooters, has two days to justify
why this African American was shot by him and killed. Indeed they could write one
million excuses for each one of the 50 bullets shot at three unarmed men, whose
main crime was being black in New York. Sean Bell was one of these victims who
was to get married the next day,but instead was killed by several of those bullets
discharged honorably by NYPD cops some of whom had been drinking prior to the
shooting. How many lies can you design within two days?
It is the NYPD the police department that repeatedly promoted two mob assassins,
convicted only after they retired to Las Vegas. Guess who went after them? The Feds, not
our NY police. NYPD ,instead of ensuring a conviction of these Mafia cops, just dismissed
the complaints against them over a long span of time. Yes , my friends, if you have a
complaint against the NYPD it is highly likely to be found "unfounded" or "unsubstantiated".
That explains why only about 7% of all complaints leveled against them will be accepted as
valid and true by The Civilian Complaint Review Board, another propaganda arm of the
NYPD devised to make us believe that the police department is capable of self correction.
But only a fool would believe NYPD does not use the Blue Wall of Silence. Only a fool
would believe that we have a police department representative of the population it is
supposed to protect . Only a kid would believe that there is no culture of tolerance of police
abuse in the NYPD.
It is the NYPD the one associated with the white out-of-towners police officers who sodomized
Mr. Louima. It is this NYPD the one who hired the officers who saw Anthony Baez die in their
custody, choked by a cop whose greatest asset was a long list of complaints recorded against
him. It is the NYPD the ones who created the "street crime unit" which ended Mr. Diallo's life after
shooting 41 bullets onto him. Neither Louima, nor Baez, nor Diallo was armed or represented a
threat to the NYPD officers. Yet incredibly Patrick Lynch, head of the Patrolmen Benevolent
Association, always comes out swinging in defense of the cops involved. Does the last name
Lynch have to do with lynching black people's hopes for justice?
This is one of hundreds of articles we intend to publish unless we do not get lynched first. I believe that
any little thing and every thing little we do will help us stop the tyranny of NYPD in the streets of New
York. So I suggest you write to your councilmen and councilwomen, contact your Albany senator, call
Mrs. Clinton, call Mr. Schummer, give your internet opinion on blogs and Q&A sites, speak to your
friends, attend protests against police brutality, listen to public radio such as NPR, write to newspapers,
call radio stations, write to leaders of unions , always vote against police supporting politicians such as
Mr. Guiliani (this bully thinks he's presidential material), and give money/time support to organizations
that protect human rights and fight police abuse. But do something! If you just sit and ignore what is
going on in NYC with these abusive police practices, next time instead of Sean Bell I will be writing
about you or your friend or your son.

Are You in the Military Service of United States?
The NYPD is composed of over 38,000 individuals, some of whom perform
administrative duties. Among the requirements these administrative civil employees
have to comply with are an FBI-Homeland Security background check and an
intense background check by an NYPD investigator. The purpose of these
investigations is to determine if the aspiring candidate to an NYPD civil employee
job meets NYPD criteria for good moral character and if she has a baggage free
past which includes no criminal wrong doing. Civil employees must be law abiding
citizens with high moral standing and great motivation to serve because they come
across a number of duties which require these qualities: record keeping, access to
very sensitive information, access to secret NYPD files, disclosure cases, hiring
process, payroll, human resources accountability, complaint reporting, etc.
The other day I dealt with one NYPD employee whom I had to serve a summons to
appear in court. And here is where Reality struck me : Rather than being a person
respectful of legal procedures and an individual with high moral standing, this NYPD
civil employee did whatever she could to evade service of process:
1. She did not answer when asked : "Are you Jane Doe?" (Name withheld to avoid a
frivolous lawsuit) even after one of her coworkers pointed her out to me (So I really knew
who she was but I wanted to confirm it ) and I identified myself and displayed my NYPD
access pass.
2. Upon seeing me she rushed out of her NYPD office into the elevator banks in an attempt
to keep me from serving her.
3. She grabbed the summons momentarily while in front of her coworker but outside, she
tried very hard to return it to me ( Of course, I would not take it back).
4. "Are you in the military service of the United States?", I asked (This is a standard
question used by process servers to determine if the defendant should be treated with
special consideration because she is in the military). Her reply was a question: " Who are
you?"
5. She even refused to register her name in my log or to answer any questions intended for
me to complete my job of serving her. After I left her and headed to her office, an uniformed
NYPD officer approached me with: "She will sign your log" , but this was another tactic
because she neither signed nor complied with a simple legal procedure. The NYPD officer
was another attempt to delay administration of justice.
The above behaviour I expect from somebody who is not aware of the meaning and scope of the
legal system but coming from NYPD it is disturbing. But it is the NYPD that employs individuals
of this kind, people whose moral standards I have to question. Wouldn't you wonder about an
individual's character if she disregards a court order? It is this NYPD the one that makes one go
through three different offices before one can actually approach this individual. If the moral
standing of other NYPD civil employees is as questionable as this individual's what other things
could NYPD civil employees do to evade legal proceedings, to misrepresent facts in official
reports, to refrain from helping the public to report crimes, to withhold evidence, to obstruct
Freedom of Information requests, partake in creating a smoke screen making outsiders and the
general public believe that New York City is a safe city, etc., etc.,etc.
This is one of hundreds of articles we intend to publish unless we do not get a gag order first. I believe
that any little thing and every thing little we do will help us stop mismanagement at the hands of NYPD
in of New York. So I suggest you write to your councilmen and councilwomen, contact your Albany
senator, call Senator Clinton, call Senator Schummer, give your internet opinion on blogs and Q&A
sites, speak to your friends, attend protests against police brutality, listen to public radio such as NPR,
write to newspapers, call radio stations, write to leaders of unions , always vote against police
supporting politicians such as Mr. Guiliani (this bully thinks he's presidential material), and give
money/time support to organizations that protect human rights and fight police abuse. But do
something! If you just sit and ignore what is going on in NYC with abusive police practices and
mismanagement, next time instead of NYPD civil employees' conduct, I will be writing about the last
time a police officer put you in jail even though you are innocent.
